Here are a few of the 25 unique molds for the exterior
surface of the Mercury Capsule. Also pictured is a prototype part of
the lift ring cover. This one was molded in white and painted. It was
test fitted on an actual capsule. Beside the color being slightly off,
the size and dimples were nearly exact replicas. These molds are much
more accurate than other replicas often seen. This is an early computer
model of the Antenna Fairing top and some of the lower shingles. Colin
does excellent work!

The model pictured above in various stages of
construction. The photos are updated regularly so check back for
new or different ones.

These are some shots of the 1/4 shingles. I wasn't
originally going to do them but decided it would be a good test fit for
the final ones and they could be available to builders of the card
model. More details later...
I thought I would just throw up some random shots that
might be interesting to the card model builders. Most of them were
sized down roughly half to make them easier to upload and save space.
These are some photos of SC 1 as it was being
refurbished a few years back.

These are of Colin and I and SC
10.

This is SC 12 as it was getting re-furbished to go on
display at KSC (images by Guard-Lee)

These are just some really cool photos of the capsules
under construction.
SC-5 Photos for the Card Modeling site. If you need any
higher res or other photos from this shoot, let me know. I mostly
focused on details I was looking for for my project but I might be able
to help you.

Perkins or otherwise noted.
