Here are some files to make a simple Heat Shield. I have NOT test built it so builder beware! The Flange should be doubled up like you did with the main capsule flange. The little line about 1/2 inch from the left end is a mark to overlap the next piece to. Look at the Main Cross section to see the basic profile. You should edge glue the 8 individual pieces (the extra is for joining) together and double up the 8 flange pieces before assembling the main ring. The ring should be assembled on YOUR capsule. Chances are your capsule is not perfectly round. Mark an orientation and stick with it. Hopefully it works out. I’ll revise this page after input from builders. The craft store should have some cool textured redish brown paper to use. You can see the color I used on the clamp ring in some of the photos.
